PrimeMedix Medical Centre is predominantly a private billing practice. Except where stated in our fee schedule, bulk billing should not be expected.

Fees are subject to change. Consultation fees are time-based and reflect the actual time spent with the doctor. We encourage patients to be mindful of the time spent during their consultation.

A 30-minute appointment is required for all new patients.

To be eligible for a Medicare rebate on telephone consultations, patients must have attended a face-to-face consultation at the practice within the past 12 months.
Please note that all consultation fees are payable on the day of your appointment.

Appointments

At PrimeMedix Medical Centre, all patients require a scheduled appointment. However, walk-in patients will be accommodated for urgent matters, where possible.

  • Standard appointments are scheduled for 15 minutes.
  • New patients are required to book a 30 minute initial consultation
  • Follow up and results appointments are privately billed on a time tiered basis 
  • Longer appointments are necessary for complex or multiple health concerns, care plans, mental health consultations, or procedural matters.
  • To maintain safe and high-quality care, appointments—either in-person or via telephone—are required for requests, including referrals, prescriptions, and completion of medical forms.

PATIENT COMMUNICATION

Accessing the doctor by telephone

Telephone consultations are available for existing patients and can be booked via HotDoc or our reception team. These appointment are privately charged.

Accessing Home Visits

Home visits may be provided at the discretion of the treating doctor, based on clinical need, safety considerations, and the patient’s capacity to attend the practice. Home visits are not routinely available and will be determined on a case-by-case basis in accordance with clinical judgement and practice resources.

Where appropriate, patients may be advised to attend the practice or seek alternative services, including after-hours or emergency care if required.

Email & SMS Communication

We do not provide electronic communication with patients via email or SMS, except for appointment reminders sent directly through HotDoc. Our email address is not monitored and should not be used for patient enquiries.

Appointments can be booked online, and all queries should be directed to our reception team by phone on (02) 9057 9833.

Please note, our doctors use AI scribe for clinical notes. Please let us know if you do not wish for AI scribe to be used during your consultation 

Interpreter Service

TIS (translating and Interpreting Service) is available through our clinic. If necessary, an on-site or telephone interpreter can be arranged, however at least 24 hours notice is required prior to your appointment time.

Billing Policy

PrimeMedix Medical Centre is a private billing practice. However, we offer bulk billing for children under the age of 10.

Our fees are time-based, and Medicare rebates apply for eligible consultations with a valid Medicare card.

Please note that minor surgical procedures incur private fees, which may be partially rebated by Medicare depending on the service.

Private fees also apply to:

  • Patients without a Medicare card
  • Completion of non-government forms
  • Medical examinations for Commercial Driver’s Licences

Attendance Policy

At PrimeMedix Medical Centre, we are committed to providing timely and high-quality care to all our patients.
To ensure we can accommodate those in need of medical attention, we have a strict attendance and no-show policy in place.

Policy Details:

A $50 fee will be charged for:

  • Missed appointments (no-shows), or
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled consultation.

Missed appointments take away opportunities from other patients especially those on our cancellation list who may require urgent care and are waiting to be seen.
We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise. If you are unable to attend your appointment, we kindly ask that you contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid the cancellation fee.

Help for people with hearing or speech difficulties

You can contact us through the National Relay Service (NRS) by following these steps:

Help for people with languages other than English

Contact us using a telephone interpreter. Call the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) National on 131 450. Tell the operator what language you speak then ask the interpreter to arrange a conversation with us.
